New Restaurant:

Aldo Goldberg's

Edited by Eric Bonnici

***************************************************************

Recently I received an email about a new restaurant on Erie Street. Reading about the food has my taste buds waiting in anticipation to try this place out so keep your eyes open for an upcoming review in a future issue of this E-zine.

The email I received was from Sous Chef Tisha Trudel. Here is what she had to say.

Hi Eric!

Just wanted to let you know about my favorite restaurant. It is right next door to Kurley's on Erie St.East and is called 'Aldo Goldberg's.

It is a casual atmosphere, Italian-bistro style with 50+ seats, free appetizer samples are served at the bar, which extends almost the entire length of the restaurant, and a menu that offers wonderful Italian food that isn't offered anywhere else on "The Street"...Crab stuffed Portebellini Mushrooms, Tender Grilled Veal over Arugula, several risottos, (creamy Italian rice), Chicken Saltimbocca (chicken breast layered with fresh sage and wrapped in prosciutto and baked, Baked Stuffed Mussels and a Flourless Chocolate Cake that is an absolute MUST! (You can't turn your nose at the Tiramisu either, presented to you in a wine glass!)

Open from 4pm-11 pm Tuesday to Saturdays.

We are at 1068 Erie St. East, and the ph # is 560-3205 You must keep your eyes peeled for this charming, warm, and casual restaurant.

(ok, so I'm a little biased...but I can put my money where my food goes!)

P.S.The Director of AGW can't stay away from the place. Just ask her!!

Subscriber Feedback

Karen Pickle on The Big Tomatoe

Edited by Eric Bonnici

***************************************************************

I want to thank all subscribers for sending in feedback on your favorite restaurants.

Last issue we reviewed Chanoso's. Karen Pickle sent in her thoughts on Chanoso's and The Big Tomato. Here is what she had to say...

Dear Eric,

My husband introduced me to Chanoso's last year. This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to in the city for an evening out.

Another restaurant that we enjoy is "The Big Tomato" located underneath the New WI on Ouellette Ave. The menu has a wonderful selection of appetizers and entrees. The atmosphere is nice, but it is the food we enjoy the most.

One of my favorite dishes is the Chicken Florentine, it's amazing. The calamari for an appetizer is also high on our list of favorites. Maye you could try this restaurant and let us know what you think.

Karen

I would like to thank Karen for her input. I would also like to hear from the rest of you. Tell me about your favorite restaurant. I would love to put your thoughts or review in the next issue. just email me at eric@eyesonwindsor.com

I hope to hear from you soon

Sincerely,
Eric Bonnici
