My girlfriend and I had dinner at Piccolo's earlier in January. Piccolo's is located at 2135 Tecumseh Rd. West. The restaurant is rather small and would be quite cozy if the tables were a little more spaced apart. I found it a little cramped and lacking privacy as you could hear and be heard on all sides by the other patrons. However, that is my only complaint. The service was fantastic. Our waitress frequently checked up on us to make sure everything was OK. This impressed me especially since the restaurant was very busy and she was tending to several tables at once. We both decided to have the Veal Con Fungi. Italian style breaded veal cooked in garlic and lemon, covered in mushrooms and mozzarella cheese, served with salad, soup, and Calabrese pasta. The Calabrese sauce is a very light but tasty sauce made with real butter minced garlic and parmesan cheese. The menu warned of long preparation times as everything is made from scratch. It was well worth the wait. The food portions were very large and filling. The taste was phenomenal, even the left overs the next day were great. Piccolo's also boasts "World Class Pizza" and offers a Casual Italian take out menu. You can also save 10% if you pick up the order yourself. If you're looking for gift giving ideas Piccolo's offers gift certificates and Unique Gourmet Theme Gift Baskets all year around for any occasion. If you're having a party then you might want to try Piccolo's Party Platters. They will even deliver them fresh the day of your party. Piccolo's accepts Visa, Master Card, and American Express. The last time I was there I feasted on The Sante Fe Chicken Wrap. A casual food but absolutely delicious. The Sante Fe Chicken Wrap can be found in The Atrium Courtyard Food Court. This food court offers six serving stations offering a variety of food choices, including a grill station, Italian, Chinese, deli, dessert and beverage stations, sure to tame the most demanding appetite.
